Health Minister reviews vaccine production at NIH
ISLAMABAD: Federal Caretaker Minister for Health, Mr. Ijaz Rahim, reviewed the vaccine production performance of National Institute of Health. The units pertaining to measles and polio are under process through PSDP scheme of up-gradation.
While expressing satisfaction, the Minister of Health emphasized that NIH was not meant to be a vaccine-production factory. He said its basic role is as a protector of Public Health. It coordinates vital national public health programmes. It was state of the art laboratories in polio, HIV-AIDS and other disciplines. It trains essential paramedic manpower. The Minister urged the NIH to develop its framework under Vision 2030.-SANA
